You’ve always been told not to eat yellow snow, but what if I told you there was a type of snow you could eat? Snowcream is a southern wintertime treat you can make with only a few simple ingredients. It tastes delicious and is a blast to make!
What you will need:
-Large bowl
-Mixing spoon
-8 cups of snow
-300 mL of sweetened condensed milk
-1 tsp of vanilla extract
-Sprinkles and syrups (optional)
In order to make this tasty treat, you will need to follow these simple instructions. First, put your cups of snow into a large mixing bowl. Pour 300 mL of sweetened condensed milk on top, then add 1 tsp of vanilla. Use your mixing spoon in a chopping and folding motion to mix the ingredients. The snow freezes the milk, making it thick and an ice cream-like consistency. You can also add sprinkles or other syrups for flavor and color. After all of this is done, dig into your snow treat!
Warning: Consume in moderation! Snow can contain small amounts of pollution and chemicals as a result from falling through the atmosphere, so make sure the snow is white and not grey or brown colored. With this being said, a serving or two of snow cream will cause you no harm!
The next time it snows, take a trip to your pantry to find these simple ingredients and make snow cream with your friends and family. It’s a sweet treat that will make your day “snow” much better!
