So, in case you weren’t already aware, NBA player Tristan Thompson cheated on Khloe Kardashian, the mother of his child, with Jordyn Woods, the best friend of Khloe’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner. Sound messy? That’s because it is.

Kylie and Jordyn met in 2012, the summer before they began high school, through Jaden Smith. In the years since, they’ve been absolutely inseparable, proudly supporting the other’s cosmetic company, fashion line, secret pregnancy, and activewear brand. Not only did Jordyn attend Kim and Kanye’s iconic wedding in 2014 but the pair have been on countless vacations and even lived together until earlier this month.

Since the news broke, many speculated that this is all a stunt orchestrated by Kris Jenner herself, but I’m willing to bet otherwise.

Within the past week, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Khloe’s best friend, Malika Haqq have all thrown shade at Jordyn, and the three sisters have even unfollowed her on Instagram (ouch!). As for Kylie, she’s extremely “torn,” “devastated,” and “shocked” by her ex-best friends actions. A source told The Sun Online “she never would have guessed this would happen. Jordyn is her closest friend and she relies on her so heavily. She gets advice on everything from her—Jordyn goes to pretty much every business meeting with Kylie. They [lived] together, she helps care for Stormi, she drives her places, she is emotional support when Kylie is overwhelmed. Faced with losing all of that, Kylie is really upset.”

Recent reports detail that Jordyn now resides in her mom’s house and that she’s apologized profusely to the Kardashian-Jenner family. It was also revealed that her “security clearance into Kylie’s home” has been revoked and that she’s been cut off from family businesses, including Khloe’s clothing brand, Good American.

Although the hookup initially seemed to be just a one-time thing, several news outlets have suggested otherwise.

On February 25th, Jordyn said she was “blackout drunk” when the incident occured, claiming that she “doesn’t remember how she got to the party or what happened there,” and that one of her friends had to tell her what she had done.

However, the same day, TMZ wrote that sources told them that “party-goers were told to put their phone away when Jordyn arrived which shows that “Woods wanted her rendezvous with Thompson private.” The sources also say that “Jordyn drove herself home from the party…something she wouldn’t have done if she was wasted,” and she’s “digging herself deeper,” considering “her story keeps changing” and “it’s been a week now of nonsense from her side.”

Moreover, a source told People that “it seemed she had an agreement with Tristan that they would deny hooking up if they got caught.” He assured her “no one would find out.”

But, if she didn’t even remember what had happened, and her friend had to tell her, wouldn’t that violate Tristan’s promise? And if her friend was already aware of the situation, who’s to say she’s the only one in the know?

As for Tristan, he isn’t in headlines nearly as much as Woods. Personally, I think it’s because this isn’t a new topic for his name to be attached to. In early 2018, Tristan was caught cheating on Khloe Kardashian moments before he gave birth, and in 2016, rumors circulated that he left pregnant girlfriend Jordan Craig for Khloe. People’s source said that “he seemed to mind the drama but did not act like he regretted hooking up with Jordy. He actually denied it, too, and has had no explanation since as to why it happened.”

As for Khloe, “although she was always hoping Tristan would change, she has been acting for a while like she has moved on. She has been living in LA alone with True for months. They have their own routine and schedule that Khoe loves. This will not change” said People.

While this situation seems absolutely awful for all parties involved, several Twitter users have pointed out some striking similarities.

“Kim and [Blac] Chyna were besties. Chyna had a baby with Tyga. Kylie began dating Tyga. Chyna had a baby with Rob. Justine Skye and Kylie were besties. Justine dated Travis. Now Kylie has a baby with Travis. Khloe has a baby with Tristan. Kylie’s bestie Jordyn slept with Tristan,” said one tweet.

So, it’s safe to say the Kardashians aren’t so innocent themselves.

Does it suck? Yes. Is it extremely messy, heartbreaking, and confusing for everyone involved? Will the consequences of Jordyn’s actions last a lifetime? Probably not. Why do I think that? Well, let’s consider the facts.

First off, the entire Kardashian-Jenner family considered Jordyn as one of their own. For almost seven years, Kylie and Jordyn have been supporting each other through thick and thin. Before high school, before the lip fillers, before Stormi, they were there for each other.

If none of the Kardashians forgive Jordyn, I think Kylie will. There’s far too much history between the pair, and Kylie seems to be genuinely so distraught after losing her best friend.

However, I don’t think forgiveness will come in the near future. What Jordyn and Tristan did was awful, and the two only seem to be digging their graves deeper every time they make headlines.

In fact, on February 26th, Jordyn went live on Instagram for about 8 seconds, and in the video, she was seen strutting towards a red table. Many see this as a sign that she’ll soon be on Jada Smith’s talk show, Red Table Talk. My question is, how come she’s willing to do an interview on such a personal matter that should only concern her, Tristan, Khloe, and Kylie? Several reports say she’s tried to talk to Khloe face-to-face, but if that didn’t work out, did she really think public television was a safe bet for a backup plan? Then again, she clearly doesn’t think much, which is how she got herself into this situation in the first place.

In addition, it’s also been released that Jordyn has signed a non-disclosure agreement with the Kardashians, preventing her from revealing any information. The best she’ll be able to do is apologize, but like I just mentioned, how well can that really go?

I guess we’ll truly never be able to keep up with the Kardashians….
